What is the Canada Caregiver Program?

How do I qualify? To qualify you must be a skilled, and trained with at least one year of formal post high school caregiver / nursing training. Your credentials will be carefully assessed to have your candidacy approved. We will only work with persons whom we believe will satisfy the very strict requirements of Immigration Canada.


Where / How do I complete the IELTS program? There are a number of IELTS testing centers globally. Find the closest one near you here.


Once I apply through OneStop / Apex, how long before I am placed with a Canada family? Is it open to Filipinos only? No. All fully qualified and trained caregivers are welcomed to the program. 

Can I bring my family?  Yes - your spouse and your children only.    Your parents or siblings are not eligible under your sponsorship.


How much will I earn as a Caregiver in Canada?

It varies, but anywhere from CAD$10 to $15CAD per hour.    Varies by province.

 

Will I always have to work as a Caregiver?

After 2 years, after your permanent residency is granted, you are able to work in any profession. 


How long does the process take for permanent residency to be approved?  The application process takes about 12 months to complete.  Then you must work for 2 years on a full time basis in Canada to have your PR confirmed or granted. So at a minimum, it is a 3 year process. 


How much does it cost?  What are the payment terms?  The total cost of application and consultancy costs fully reflect the opportunities to be made available to candidates who become Canadian residents.    Candidates must demonstrate the ability to satisfy the cost of the program at approval of credentials.
