About the Canada Caregiver Permanent Resident Program
The Caregiver Program enables Canadian employers to recruit foreign nationals to live and work in their homes to provide childcare or home support for seniors or people with disabilities when there is a shortage of Canadians or permanent residents to fill available positions. After two years of work, caregivers have the option of applying for permanent residence. Catalyst Consulting (Bermuda) Limited having partnered with Canadian Immigration firm, Apex Immigration Canada Ltd. is able to provide the following services related to Canada ‘s Caregiver Program:
- Work Permit assistance for overseas Caregivers
- Permanent Residence applications for Caregivers ready to apply
Requirements to become a permanent resident under the Live In Caregiver Program:
- 24 months of authorized full-time live-in employment, or
- 3,900 hours of authorized full-time employment. You can complete these hours within a minimum of 22 months.
The work experience must be acquired within four years of your date of arrival.
